Subject: UAlbany Alert Regarding Off-Campus Incident
Dear UAlbany Faculty, Students and Staff:
Albany Police reported to UPD that a UAlbany student was shot around 11:30 pm on Monday evening, October 20, 2008 in the vicinity of Lake St. and Yates St. in the City of Albany. The assailant is unknown at this time and Albany Police are working diligently on this investigation.
The UAlbany student is in critical condition in a local hospital. Please keep this student in your thoughts and prayers. We will update you with further information as soon as it becomes available.
